Our bet was to increase diversity and social supervision by making the square attractive to a diverse public.

Place Voltaire is along our "Pietro" project. This small square is entirely pedestrian and surrounded by housing. Cohabitation between users of the square and residents is not always peaceful. Some residents are bothered by the noise, ball games, youth crime and gatherings. Instead of making the square private, our bet was to increase its attractivity and use by adding benches and linking it to the 'Pietro" network By adding trees ans other obstacles, ball games are made less easy and the square is greener, more comfortable and more fun, for more people.
