PARK(ing) Day

A global event open to all, PARK(ing) Day asks what place pedestrians and green spaces have in the urban context.

Relying on digital social networks PARK(ing) Day calls on people to take back ownership of concrete parking spaces and create temporary green and inviting areas. Suède 36 took part in the event in 2010 and 2011.

In 2010 a mini local cinema was set up outside the agency to put on a ‘mini car-film festival’ for passers-by. Throughout the day and evening films were projected on the façade inviting locals to participate in this improvised event.
